1. Select according to character

We are too influenced to select according talent, but character is what will allow the player to develop, be useful and explode that talent.

How many eternal prospects do you know, that even having opportunities, never developed their talent?

There is not only one cause, but surely many of them lacked character. When you select according to character, you are clear about what that athlete will be capable of, and also, it does not exclude that we value what are their talent and potential.

2. Understand your strategy to change

Day to day and competition will require changes. For this reason, adaptability is the key

The clearer we have who we are, what we do and how we are doing it, the easier it will be for us to adapt to the changes, without losing our essence and our identity.

If we do not know who we are, what we do and how we do it, where instability, changes or uncertainty will appear, we will take the risk of losing ourselves.

3. Co-write a purpose

As a team or individual athletes, we should fight for something more transcendental than a title or a position on a list.

At all levels, teams and athletes who are remembered, are for something more than the titles they got: some created a style, others became an example, there were also those who inspired many people, or those who led to the maximum expression the word “team” beyond a result, etc.

Having a purpose to achieve something unique will give us enough reasons to follow when doubts appear or when the environment will shake us.

4. Develop leadership

We need positive examples to look at. And the good thing is that they never exceed. They can also be complementary. It can always be added within a team or context, regardless of the role. In addition, autonomy is needed and this autonomy is promoted by this same leadership. I can look at referents around, while I also become one of them.

5. Promote a learning environment

It is the only way to evolve and not stop growing. A team or project should end when the illusion ends, not when the ideas are finished. Generate a learning environment will always provide new stimulation that will make appear a better version of the team and its members.
